An interview with Junko Inokuma on Tokyo’s urban challenges

Junko Inokuma is the second woman, and the first in 22 years, to serve as the Vice Governor of Tokyo – special mention city of the 2018 Prize. She is the deputy to Yuriko Koike, the first female Governor of Tokyo. In this short interview, Inokuma shares with us the challenges that the megacity faces, such as addressing its ageing population and creating a safe city for all, as well as the challenges moving forward and the future projects that the city is undertaking.
